Jeanmarie Livi - Longtime Havertown, Pennsylvania, Educator
Based in Havertown, Pennsylvania, Jeanmarie Livi has a background in young learner education that extends back four decades. From 1998 to 2022, she served as a teacher with St. Faith Preschool and Kindergarten, where she was tasked with teaching 4-year-olds a variety of life and social skills. Jeanmarie Livi also served as school director from 2003 to 2015.
After completing a speech pathology degree at Douglas College in New Brunswick, New Jersey, in 1978, Ms. Livi entered graduate school at the University of Wisconsin. While working toward an MS in education, she held a position as a special education instructor with Van Hise Elementary School within the Madison Metropolitan School District. From 1983 to 1986, she served as a elementary school and middle school teacher with the Middle Island Central School District in New York state.
Ms. Livi has authored a number of papers in conjunction with other scholars, including “Strategies for Generating Curricular Content to Teach Adolescent and Young Adult Severely Handicapped Students Domestic Living Skills” (1979). Also taking part in fundraising events, Jeanmarie Livi has participated in the annual Kevin Cain Memorial Foundation Make My Day 5k run and one-mile walk.
